Edinburgh-Stanford Link

The Edinburgh-Stanford Link is a £6m research, training and commercialisation initiative, specialising in speech and language technology.
The initiative links the UK's top computer science research group, the University of Edinburgh, with the world's most entrepreneurial, Stanford University in California.
Funded by Scottish Enterprise, the Link exploits the commercial potential of this research by transferring knowledge and skills into new or existing companies.
The Link also serves as the commercialisation vehicle for the 100+ research staff investigating human computer interaction (HCI) at the University of Edinburgh.
Furthermore, the Link can be approached for general Business Development Advice for University students, staff and alumni.
The Link is an initiator of Entrepedia, deriving from the School of Informatics courses on Entrepreneurship.
