SICSA has reserved 15 place for Scottish PhD students of Computing Science and Informatics to attend this residential course at the Westerwood Hotel near Glasgow.

This 3-day residential course will give a chance to explore the idea of research commercialisation. It is relevant to researchers with an interest in:

  • exploring the challenges of setting up their own company
  • how their research might attract interest (or funding!) from industrial sources
  • career opportunities outside of academia
  • collaboration with researchers from other fields or universities.

Venue: Westerwood Hotel, near Glasgow

Dates: 22-24 June 2009
