Human Resources
From Entrepedia: The Entrepreneurship Wiki
Human resources is a broad term which, for most companies, encompasses administrative personnel concerns such as the hiring, firing, training, and management of employees, as well as employee relations, and resource planning. It is therefore very important to ensure that your human resources department or organiser is efficient, well-prepared, and organised; without these qualities you risk employees becoming undisciplined, unfocused, or unhappy – all of which can have a drastic effect on the success of your business.
Team
Who else is, or will be, involved in your business team, and what will your role be within that team dynamic? How will you manage both your team and your personal life as you work to develop and grow your venture?
Support Services
You will need to provide services for your staff, such as induction, training, work allocation, and an effective communication system. This may involve looking for IT Services that can make organising and communicating with your staff a bit more manageable.
Recruitment
When recruiting new employees, you will need to know how to seek out, attract, and assess those potential employees that will end up contributing the most to your business. Do you want to approach this yourself, or is it more worthwhile to use a recruitment service? Both options have their benefits and their drawbacks.
Staff Management
In order to ensure an efficient team within your business, you will have to be prepared for the essentials of staff management, such as disciplining and even dismissing employees when necessary.
