Events

Winning Entrepreneurs runs 5 different types of events focusing on our primary aims of sharing knowledge, learning, networking and business creation. All events are organised for members only.

Informal Networking events are arranged approximately every month and give members the opportunity to meet one another over drinks and canapés.
Knowledge Lunches are informal and take place on a 6 weekly basis. They are regularly attended by key guests who have specific expertise in a particular area.
Spotlight Dinners take place every 2 months for 10 – 30 members and there is a guest speaker. Some Select Dinners are exclusive to Foundation members.
National Events are held in Spring and Autumn for approximately 120 people and are attended by Winning Entrepreneurs and Supper Club members.
Expert Forums are organized on a bi-monthly basis and are an opportunity for our members to gain and share knowledge on a wide range of topics.

History

Winning Entrepreneurs was formerly We-Entrepreneurs, a network of entrepreneurs with high-growth businesses, organized as an open and trusted community in order to learn from each other and help generate more successful business.[1] The We-entrepreneurs organization was founded in Edinburgh in June 2003 by Richard O’Connor, co-founder and director of Ambergreen, mentor for growing businesses in Business Mentoring Scotland,[2] and co-founder of www.tablina.com. Like Winning Entrepreneurs, We-Entrepreneurs was based in Scotland and it also held an affiliation with The Supper Club in England. We-Entrepreneurs held approximately 110 events in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, as well as in Denmark, Ireland, Latvia and the USA. [3]

We-Entrepreneurs was an initiator of Entrepedia, deriving from the community's offline networking and business exchange. The wiki was, and still is, is designed to offer real, practical advice from established entrepreneurs for business owners and new ambitious entrepreneurs.
